The New Jersey Devils are officially one of six teams in NHL history with 21 wins in their opening 26 games. This impressive accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaches on the team.

The Devils got off to a hot start this season, winning 16 out of their first 20 games this season. This impressive streak was fueled by strong performances from players like Jesper Bratt (30 points) and Jack Hughes (33 points), who have been leading the team offensively.

The team’s success this season is a far cry from their struggles in recent years. In 2018-2019, the Devils finished with one of the worst records in the league and missed the playoffs, one year after their latest playoff appearance in the 2017-2018 season. However, with a new coaching staff in 2020 and a renewed focus on building a winning culture, the team has been able to turn things around.

The Devils’ 21 wins in their first 26 games is an impressive feat, but the team is not content to rest on their laurels. They will continue to work hard and strive for even more success as the season progresses.

They are getting solid performances out of newly acquired goaltender Vitek Vanecek who has started 16 games and won 12 with a SV% of .916. 22 year old Akira Schmid has gotten a chance in net as well, having 5 wins in 6 games, only being a starter in 4 of them.

On the defensive front, they are being led by shutdown defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler, who leads the team with 45 blocked shots, leads the team as a +21, and has the third most TOI with 20:41.

The New Jersey Devils have a bright future ahead of them and will no doubt continue to make their mark on the NHL. Their impressive start to the season is just the beginning, and fans can expect even more great things from this talented team.
