Shane Wright has had a rough start to life in the pros, being healthy scratched often at the start of the season with the Kraken, and then sent down to the AHL affiliate The Coachella Valley Firebirds.
In his first 7 games with the Kraken, he had 0 goals but did pick up his first NHL point with an assist against the Blues.
He played 5 games in the AHL, scoring not only his first professional goal, but his first four professional goals. No assists in his spell in the AHL, but 4 goals in 5 games is certainly a confidence booster for the rookie.

He was recently called up back to the NHL, and has been told he will be playing tonight against the Montreal Canadiens.
Seattle Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol came out and said this….
“We’ve been really happy with Shane, his outlook and work every single day. His approach has been excellent.”
The Seattle Kraken are having a great start to the season, currently sitting second in the Western Conference winning 15 games out of 24.
It will be interesting to see what line Shane Wright is slotted onto, and how many minutes they give him. In his first spell with the organization he was only get bottom 6 minutes, which makes it very hard to adjust to the NHL level as a rookie only getting a couple shifts a period.
