the Seattle Kraken have made history by clinching a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, exceeding expectations and thrilling their growing fanbase.

The Seattle Kraken have made history by securing a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs during their second season. Currently holding the first wild card position in the Western Conference with 44 wins in 78 games, the Kraken have provided their fanbase with a thrilling journey in the team’s first year.

Leading the Kraken on this remarkable run is Jared McCann, who has notched 66 points in 75 games this season. Teammates Vince Dunn and Jordan Eberle have also played crucial roles, contributing 64 and 61 points, respectively, in 78 games. Rookie sensation Matty Beniers, the 2021 second overall pick, has made an impressive debut with the Kraken, scoring 23 goals and assisting 33 for a total of 56 points in 76 games.

Depth scoring has been crucial for the Kraken with 13 players having 30 or more points this season, and 13 players with 10+ goals this season as well. In Net it has been the duo of Grubauer and Martin Jones, but both have struggle as Grubauer has a GAA of 2.96 and a SV% of .892, and Jones has a GAA of 2.97 and a SV% of .886. If the Kraken do want to be competitive in the playoffs, being defensively sound is going to be crucial, and hopefully they can find some sort of rhythm in net.

As the team gears up for the playoffs, they will be met with a new set of challenges and excitement as they face the best teams in the league.

Fans in Seattle have embraced the Kraken wholeheartedly, and the team’s playoff berth has only fueled their enthusiasm. With a solid roster and a strong foundation, the Seattle Kraken have the opportunity to make an impact in the playoffs and continue to build a passionate and dedicated fanbase for years to come.
