The Buffalo Sabres and Rasmus Dahlin are off to a pretty good start to the season, winning 3 of the 4 games they have played so far, beating teams like the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and the Ottawa Senators. They have scored at least 3 goals in every game they have played so far, and even have defenseman breaking NHL records for scoring.

That defenseman is Rasmus Dahlin, who has scored a goal in all 4 games the Sabres have played, an NHL record for most games in a row with goals as a defenseman to start a NHL season.

Not only has Dahlin scored 4 goals in 4 games, but he has also picked up 2 assists which totals him up to 6 points on the year so far. Dahlin had 53 points last season, but only scored 13 goals in 80 games.

Dahlin, the first overall pick in the 2018 entry draft, is currently on a 3 year bridge deal that ends after the 2023-2024 NHL season. He is currently making an AAV of $6M per year.

How long can Dahlin keep this goal scoring streak up? The Buffalo Sabres face the Canucks next, who haven’t been able to find a win yet this season.
