Max Domi has had a lot to say about his time in Columbus, Ohio, where he played for two seasons. In a recent interview, he expressed his excitement about spending Christmas break in a new city, stating:

“I’m pretty excited, actually. My whole family’s here. I was in Columbus for two years, so I didn’t get many visitors. All of a sudden I’m in a nice city, so my whole family wants to come. I don’t know if it’s me or the city.”

Max Domi spent 2 seasons playing for the Blue Jackets from 2020 to 2022. He played 107 games for the club, scoring 18 goals and assisting 38 for a total of 56 points. He was then traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, but his time didn’t last long as in the summer he then moved to the Chicago Blackhawks. This season for the Blackhawks he has 10 goals and 11 assists in 31 games played.

Domi certainly showed he did not like his time in Columbus when he said “All of the sudden I’m in a nice city.” implying that Columbus is not a nice city, which is a hit to the fans of the Blue Jackets that supported him when he was there.

Good to see some personality from the players, he’s allowed to not enjoy his time in a certain city and everyone’s experience is different. Just look at Mike Grinnell who said Columbus is a top 5 city in the NHL.
