Boldy’s impressive pace puts him ahead of some notable former NHL players, including Marian Gaborik, who reached 100 points in 147 games, Mikael Granlund, who did it in 178 games, and Mikko Koivu, who took 181 games to hit the mark. In his sophomore season in the NHL, Boldy has scored 30 goals and contributed 31 assists, totaling 61 points in 78 games played. The Wild selected Boldy 12th overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, and he has since proven to be an excellent pick.

With only four regular season games remaining, the Minnesota Wild have already secured their place in the playoffs, boasting 44 wins in 78 games. Currently sitting in third place in the Central Division, the Wild could potentially face the Dallas Stars in the first round. However, the final standings in the division are far from certain, as the top three teams in the division are separated by just two points.

Matt Boldy’s rapid ascent in the NHL is certainly exciting for Wild fans, it’s a positive light in the Wild’s very difficult cap situation over the next couple years. Matt Boldy 100 points
