The Kyler Murray/Cardinals drama has come to an end. Murray has agreed to a 5 year, $230.5 million dollar deal. $160 million of it is guaranteed. He in now the second highest paid QB by AAV at $46.1 million per year. The QB market has been reset once again.
This is a bold move by the Cardinals. Murray was always going to get paid but time will tell if he is worth a deal of this size. They have had some disappointing ends to seasons but if Kyler can prove that he is a Super Bowl caliber QB then this deal will be a bargain.
