Jagr scored this goal in his most recent game, putting his professional career total up to 1099 goals. Jagr has been playing professionally in Europe since he left the NHL during the 2017-2018 season where he was playing for the Calgary Flames.
Gretzky has 1098 professional goals, split like this, NHL playoffs (122), WHA playoffs (10) and Canadian National team (26) goals along with NHL regular season goals (894). Jagr’s stat line looks like this, NHL regular season goals (766), NHL + KHL +Czech Playoff goals (102), Czech league (101), KHL (82), German league (1), International team goals (47).
This is an incredible accomplishment for Jagr, many people may hate on the achievement because he is playing in the Czech professional league which is not considered one of the best leagues, but the guy is almost 51 years old and is still playing professionally, a level 99% of hockey players never reach.
The longevity that Jagr has been able to have in his career is just unbelievable. The guy played over 1,700 games in the NHL and has continued to play professionally after his NHL Career. His dedication to the game, his fitness, and the hockey community will be forever remembered by this incredible achievement.
Congratulations Jagr!
