Hughes’ recent surge in points has seen him surpass the likes of Taylor Hall, who recorded 93 points in the 2017-2018 season, Kirk Muller, who tallied 94 points in the 1987-1988 campaign, and Zach Parise, who also notched 94 points in the 2008-2009 season. With three games remaining in the regular season and Hughes’ scoring prowess on full display, the odds of him breaking the record are quite favorable.

The New Jersey Devils have been enjoying a successful season, accumulating 50 wins and 108 points, which has them sitting comfortably in second place in the Metropolitan Division. As the playoffs approach, the Devils are preparing to face off against a variety of potential opponents.
