Bruins Fans Call for Swayman in Game 3 After Ullmark’s Disastrous Performance

After a rough Game 2 for Bruins starting goaltender Linus Ullmark, fans are calling for backup Jeremy Swayman to take over the net in Game 3 against the Florida Panthers.

In the wake of a disastrous Game 2 performance by Boston Bruins starting goaltender Linus Ullmark, fans are calling for backup Jeremy Swayman to take over the net in Game 3. Ullmark allowed five goals on 29 shots in Game 2, resulting in a disappointing .828 save percentage (SV%).

Despite being the Bruins’ primary goaltender this season with 40 wins in 48 starts, a goals-against average (GAA) of 1.89, and a .938 SV%, The Bruins lost 6-3 in Game 2, a stark contrast to their 3-1 victory in Game 1, where Ullmark stopped 31 of 32 shots for a .969 SV%.

Many fans believe that giving Ullmark a night off to reset after the rough Game 2 could benefit both the goaltender and the team as a whole. A change in the net could provide a much-needed energy boost for the Bruins in Game 3 against the Florida Panthers.

Rear Admiral of the Spittin Chicklets podcast has also weighed in on the matter, taking to Twitter to express his belief that the Bruins will opt for Swayman in Game 3. This move could potentially shake up the series and provide a fresh perspective for the team.

Some fans are even discussing the possibility that Ullmark was playing Game 2 with a slight knock, but there has been no message from the team about that.

With Game 3 fast approaching, the Boston Bruins coaching staff will have to make a critical decision on whether to stick with Ullmark or turn to Swayman for a fresh start.
