Florida Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour has been making history this season, achieving multiple records and milestones that have solidified his place in the franchise’s history books. Since joining the Panthers in April 2021, Montour has set new records for most points in a season by a defenseman and most game-winning goals in a season by a Florida Panthers defenseman. Additionally, he has become the second Panthers defenseman to score multiple overtime goals in a single season.

Montour was traded to the Panthers from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick. That summer, he signed a three-year deal with Florida, boasting an annual average value (AAV) of $3.5 million.
