The struggling Blue Jackets get some awful news about one of their star players. The Blue Jackets have struggled heavily this season despite having a marquee signing in the summer in Johnny Gaudreau.
The Blue Jackets currently sit bottom of the Metropolitan Division with only 8 wins out of 23 games this season.
The awful news coming in now is veteran forward Jakub Voráček is out indefinitely, which very much could be the entire rest of this NHL season as reported by Jeff Svoboda.
#CBJ wing Jake Voracek met with the media today. He's out indefinitely with concussion symptoms, and acknowledged it's only a "slim" chance he'll be able to return this year.

Voráček, a 33 year old forward, played in 11 games this season, scoring 1 goal and assisting 5 for a total of 6 points. Voráček, a member of the Blue Jackets for his first three NHL seasons, then moved to the Philadelphia Flyers for 10 seasons before returning to Columbus. Voráček has played 1,058 NHL games, putting up 806 points.
Voráček was the 7th overall pick in the 2007 NHL draft. We hope he has a safe and speedy recovery.
